RSS - not for me!

Well, watched the presentation again and explored the sites they sent us too, but it still doesn't work for me I'm afraid. I'm not that into news that I'd be signing up to get regular feeds to my mail box (I don't even read the newspaper). I can see how it would work for other people though, as it saves them going out and looking for what they want all the time. Where I work has a nifty "breaking news headlines" type thing on its intranet which saves you looking around for what's happening, but that's another story!

Flickr - and something new too

Looked at the flickr lesson again, and I must say I don't think I've been to flickr since the first time I did this course. Online photo sharing has moved on so much in more recent times. Everyone who's on facebook is sharing and tagging pictures which is really handy; people can see your holiday photos while you're still on holiday! And now that I have a tablet I have discovered the art of making photo collages so that instead of uploading a bunch of photos to facebook, I can group them together and do cool stuff with it. Then you just upload the one collage. One other cool thing I have discovered is historypin. Lot's of old photos on there (as well as new ones) and even what they call tours where they can superimpose a recent picture with an old picture of the same scene - the Beatles tour was a lot of fun. Okay, it's refresher time...

Yep, since it's been three years since I did this, thought it appropriate to do it again as a refresher (and maybe get all the way to the end this time around!). Our team is working through it as some people didn't do the Learning 2.0 program before, so it's a good opportunity for them to learn a few things and the rest of us to brush up on it again. So, some lessons I may not contribute much but others I might have a bit to say - will see how it goes. And so, away I go again, and if I'm really good I might even do Learning 2.1!
